Managing Your Smash License: Transfer, Renewal & Updates

License Management Guide

Learn how to manage your Smash license including transferring domains, renewing subscriptions, and checking for updates.

Checking License Status

1. Go to Extensions > Extensions > Modules
2. Edit "Smash License Manager"
3. View the License tab

You'll see:

• Status: Active, Expired, or Not Activated
• Licensed Products: Which extensions are covered
• Expiration Date: When renewal is needed
• Domain: Which site the license is active on

Transferring to Another Domain

Need to move your store to a new domain? Here's how:

Step 1: Deactivate on Old Site

1. Log into the old site's admin
2. Go to Smash License Manager
3. Click "Deactivate" button
4. Confirm deactivation

Step 2: Activate on New Site

1. Install Smash extensions on new site
2. Install License Manager
3. Enter same license key and email
4. Click Activate

Note: License transfers are immediate. No waiting period.

License Renewal

Before Expiration

You'll receive email reminders at:

• 30 days before expiration
• 7 days before expiration
• 1 day before expiration

How to Renew

1. Log into your account at smashnbuy.com
2. Go to "My Licenses"
3. Click "Renew" next to your license
4. Complete payment
5. License extends automatically - no reactivation needed!

After Expiration

If your license expires:

• Extensions continue to work
• Pro features may become restricted
• No access to updates
• No priority support

You can renew at any time to restore access.

Checking for Updates

Manual Check

1. Go to License Manager
2. Click the "Updates" tab
3. Click "Check for Updates"
4. View available updates

Downloading Updates

1. Log into smashnbuy.com
2. Go to "Downloads"
3. Download latest version of extension
4. Install via Extensions > Installer

Important: Always backup before updating!

Multiple Sites

Standard licenses cover one domain. For multiple sites:

• Purchase additional licenses (one per site)
• Developer license - Contact us for volume pricing
• Agency license - Unlimited client sites
